College Planning Grade 8

Make an appointment to speak to a guidance counselor or any number of your teachers regarding the following:

  • Attending a four-year college or university.
  • Helpful courses to enroll in beginning in Grade 9, including college preparatory classes offered at your high school.
  • Value colleges and universities place on your pre-college grades, including the school years and grades considered in the admissions process.
  • Academic enrichment programs, such as computer, math, and drama courses, including summer and weekend programs available through your high school or a nearby college.

Remember, planning ahead and maintaining good grades will only broaden your options regarding your college education.

Consider pursuing extracurricular activities, including:  sports, performing arts, volunteer work, academic clubs, and other intriguing activities.

Once you’ve finished up with grade 8, please move onto college planning for grade nine.
